It’s Showtime!
I started working at shows in 2017 with The Order of the Pegasus. I’ve worked with my own horses, and hirelings. I’m always happy to support a show as ground crew or rider.
Battle Proms 2023
The Battle Proms are a series of Summer picnic shows with a live orchestra and a host of entertainment. Worcestershire Cavalry were approached for the 2023 season and are providing two shows at each prom: “Cavalry through the ages” and a drill ride to music.
Myself and Tommy (a.k.a. Rotterdam, ex King’s Troop horse) are riding the “Cavalry through the ages” show demonstrating jousting at a quintain. We’re in the green-white-gold!

Horsemanship Showcase Contest 2020-2022
The Horsemanship Showcase is a yearly event held by Organised Equestrian. In 2020 the team introduced a Horsemanship contest where anyone could submit a video entry online. The contest runs every year starting with a ‘public vote’ scoring system per video, and the highest rated videos are shown to celebrity judges.
I’ve entered since 2020 and my videography has considerably improved (apologies for the 12 minute long video from 2020) with my 2021 entry taking Second Place in the Novice category.

Loxwood Joust 2019
Loxwood Joust was my first and only show riding my mare Summer. I attended as ground crew for the 2017 show as part of The Order of the Pegasus.
We did two shows a day demonstrating skill at arms and hunting games, how horses may have been trained to handle Medieval ridden work.
Most of us were in modern tack, and as accurate soft kit as we could manage. Summer loved the show, I had no brakes (for the most part), and she adored the crowd.
